Happy new year

Last day of the year at Skærbæk Habour I am so eager to start the one photo per day project that I decided to upload a shot I took today as well, even though we are still one day from the project start. It is a picture I have been meaning to take for a while, but today the stars were aligned right, or rather it was good weather, and I had to do a little shopping at the supermarket next to the harbour anyway.

I have tried to convey the peace of the harbour at winter time when the wind has died out. Using the rule of thirds and trying to get something in the fore ground, middle ground and background, to make an interesting photo. Pretty basic tools to make an image composition work, but that is where I am now, lets see if I can develop some new techniques in the interesting year to come.

Not much of a long update today, on this very last day of 2009, I hope you had had a good year and I hope you will have a good 2010. I am going to be very busy the first 3 months of the year, then I will be done with my PhD, and after that I have no idea what will happen.

Happy New year

First Post!

Welcome to my new home. I thought it was time to make a bit of redecoration. So I changed from Drupal to Wordpress and found a decent theme to make the site look or TFTTF challenge - Winner2010.

The reason I changed it, is that capn Scott over at the Tips from the top floor forum told me about the One Photo Per Day project which is hosted at onephotoperday.com for some reason I have been brave/stupid/courageous/stupid  to join that project. But I needed a blog like install in order to make an easy feed which can be picked up by the project.

So I realised that was probably my clue to set up a blog at groenstue.dk instead of the now dead Drupal install.

In order to check if the basics are working, here is a picture of my self I took in fall 2009. So this is what you will get untill 2010 where my new years resolution is to update the blog every day to live up to the project guide lines.  I think it will be fun though, and a real learning experience. So let me get this blog up set up and customized to my liking, and hopefully I will be able to present you with lots and lots of photos throughout 2010.

Happy New Year
