It’s a sign!

It's a sign I have decided to make this week all black and white, scratch that – we call it duo tone week.  I have wanted to play around with black and white images for a while, or duo tone if you like. So why not force my self to do that. All images this week will be in black and white,  so I might get the hang of it.

With black and white I believe I can work more with shapes, lines and textures, since one dimension has been removed, and therefore doesn’t distract. That makes some things easier, and some things harder. Here is my first attempt at a snow covered landscape with a sign.

Silhouette

Silouette Just a quick update from here. I got another sunset photo today, showing a silhouette of a high voltage mast.

Not a whole lot of comments except that I like the colours of the picture.

Sunset at the Great Belt

Sunset at the great belt brigde Sorry for not uploading a picture yesterday, I did take it I just never got around to uploading it. So today you will get two posts. I promise!

I was crossing the great belt brigde last night and just happened to due it during sunset, it was an opportunity I couldn’t miss. So I stopped in a took a series of great landscape pictures. The light was absolutely gorgeous and just proves once again that light is everything.

I have chosen this one as today’s photo, there were several great ones and you can see those in the gallery. I have my photo editing software back, so this pictures has been edited a bit. I have rotated it and tweaked the colours a tad.  Not much but a little.

I think the picture is good, and I like the thing in the foreground even though it might not be interesting, it adds to the picture and helps giving it depth.

Happy sunset

Winter sky

Winter landskapeToday I managed to get out shooting a bit before, and got this lovely shot of the delicate winter sky.  It is cold outside, like -7 degrees celsius at the momen, so it took a bit of convincing to get out of the car and into dyrehaven to take this shot.

I could blabber on about the techinal and compositional aspects of the photo, but I think I will let the calm of the picture speak its own language.
