DSC03112 I went to Aalborg University to have a talk with my supervisor, and when I saw martin, who I share an office with speaking on the phone I thought it would be a motive for today.

I chose to make it black and white in post processing since it made the subject stand out a lot more, and the colours didn’t add much to the photo. So by removing them the photo was made simpler. The subject is clear in the image, since there is only one thing in the foreground, and the background is fairly uncluttered. Besides the subject is dark on a light background which is another reason is stands out I think.

The windows makes a frame in the photo which I think is a good thing, the perspective should be corrected, or rather I should have taken one step to the right when I shot the photo. Too late now though.  It follows the rule of thirds, which was not as much of a concious choice as Martin just standing there, but he is standing on one of the lines in that grid.

Apart from my laziness to correct the perspective I think it is a pretty good photo.
